Warehouse and Delivery Assistant

£18,000 – £20,000 per annum

Ridings Managed Technologies are a well-established, award-winning Managed Print, IT & Telecoms Solutions provider. We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse & Delivery Assistant to join our team based in Peterborough.

With regional offices located across the South, East Anglia, Midlands and London, Actrive8 have grown considerably over the past few years. We are well-established in delivering an outstanding service to a growing number of clients.

Based at their Warehouse in Peterborough, you will provide support to both the installation and warehouse team. Training will be provided where required.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine stock:

  • Process the arrival of new machine stock within our internal 2serv system
  • Review sales order paperwork, escalating any issues in a timely manner
  • Liaise with other internal departments and provide accurate machine build timescales
  • Manage processes relating to ‘Old’ machine stock, liaising with trade contacts to clear when required
  • Keep accurate records of all dispatched and collected devices – amending the various reporting spreadsheets

Warehouse:

  • Pick and dispatch processed orders
  • Accurately process daily deliveries
  • General Stock Management
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy working environment for all warehouse staff

PDI:

  • Configure new multi-functional devices (MFD) for installation; for printing and scanning on various network infrastructures
  • Ensure all customers orders are built in time for the required install date
  • Ensure machines are built to the required specification
  • Database admin around the PDI function

Delivery/Installations:

  • Loading and driving of a LGV (3.5 tonne truck) or other company vehicle to deliver new multi-functional devices to customer sites (this role involves heavy lifting), when required
  • Installing new multi-functional devices (MFD) at customer sites throughout the country; for printing and scanning on various network infrastructures, always ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Implement customer training on site after installing new equipment

About You:

  • An understanding of MFPs and printers that has been gained within a similar role is preferable
  • A professional and courteous manner with excellent customer service skills
  • Sound Microsoft office skills particularly in Word and Excel
  • Confidence in dealing with people at all levels both internally and externally
  • Flexible approach and can-do attitude
  • Work well under pressure to meet time deadlines
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask

  • Excellent Team player
  • A full UK driving license is desirable, as is the ability to drive a 3.5-ton van with tail lift
